A Guide to Medicaid Changes

Changes to Medicaid could affect access to coverage, treatment, infusion services, and specialty care for some people with hemophilia. The Coalition for Hemophilia B has prepared a patient guide explaining what may be changing, who may be affected, and what steps can be taken now to help protect coverage. Key action steps include: Updating contact information with the state Medicaid office; opening and responding to every Medicaid notice right away; gathering documentation of hemophilia diagnosis and treatment needs; contacting the HTC team if an exemption is needed; reaching out for help if coverage is disrupted.
