Hemophilia Treatment Centers
Hemophilia Treatments Centers (HTCs) provide comprehensive care for people living with bleeding disorders using a team of pediatric and/or adult hematologists, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, orthopedists, dentists, geneticists and psychologists to treat people holistically.
In a comprehensive care setting, a patient’s appointment will include talking to many or all of the team to help manage the medical and non-medical aspects of living with a bleeding disorder.
The development of comprehensive care over the past 30 years has greatly improved the quality of life for people living with bleeding disorders, helping them live longer and be more independent and productive with a comprehensive, cost-effective, long term approach.
