First Mimetic on Track
Novo Nordisk’s “Mim8” (denecimig) is an investigational bispecific antibody that mimics activated factor VIII. According to findings from the multinational randomized, Phase 3 FRONTIER2 study, it was shown to be superior to on-demand treatment and clotting factor prophylaxis with respect to the annualized rates of treated bleeding events. In late September 2025, Novo Nordisk announced the submission of a Biologics License Application (BLA) seeking approval of Mim8 as prophylaxis to prevent or reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes in adult and pediatric patients with hemophilia A with or without inhibitors. If approved, Mim8 would become the first factor VIIIa mimetic approved for the treatment of hemophilia A in the U.S. and would offer flexible once-monthly, biweekly and once-weekly dosing options.
