Remembering Val Bias

A Statement from the National Hemophilia Foundation:

Like many reading this note, NHF is profoundly heartbroken over the recent passing of Val Bias, NHF’s former CEO. Val’s impact and legacy will live on forever in the inheritable blood and bleeding disorders community.

Val served as NHF’s CEO for over a decade, from 2008 to 2019, and served as the Chair of NHF’s board prior to his service as CEO. His work with NHF helped NHF grow and expand its impact through various new programs and global collaborations with other hemophilia organizations around the world. A tried and true advocate, he prioritized causes at federal and state levels that helped ensure new standards of blood safety.
