HANDI Highlights Back-to-School Resources
New Resources to Help Students with Bleeding Disorders. Learn more about how to help students, families, and school personnel become better prepared for the scholastic year.
Back-to-school season is in full swing as summer draws to a close. Across the country, many students have already returned to school while others will begin “hitting the books” after the Labor Day weekend.
In keeping with the season, this September HANDI Highlights is devoted to resources that will help students, families, and school personnel become better prepared for the scholastic year. The selected content includes educational videos, publications, and expert recommendations from hemophilia treatment center social workers.
For those new to HANDI Highlights, it is a monthly communication designed to connect the bleeding disorders community with timely, practical, and readily accessible resources. The July/August edition was dedicated to resources on pain and its management.
Next Up – In October we will feature resources that speak to inherited bleeding disorders women, girls, and people with the propensity to menstruate.
In the meantime, visit NBDF’s publications homepage to access a full list of resources. Go to the HANDI homepage to learn more about our information service and read choice answers to frequently asked questions about hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, and other inherited bleeding disorders.
