GLHF Welcomes Tomi Vandergriff, Special Events Coordinator

Tomi is very excited to start at GLHF as our Special Events Coordinator! She received her B.A. in Religious Studies from UW-Milwaukee in 2013 and has spent the past six years working at the International Institute of Wisconsin (IIW) in the Refugee Resettlement Department as their Medical Liaison and Preferred Communities Coordinator, as well as in community outreach and special event. She also coordinated the Chef’s Corner stage at Holiday Folk Fair International, ran by IIW.

Tomi has a passion for working in the non-profit sector and regularly volunteers her time in the Milwaukee area at different non-profits including sitting on the Entertainment Committee and managing the bar at the Irish Cultural Heritage Center and for Stars and Stripes Honor Flight.

“I am looking forward to seeing how I can use my diverse background to execute and build on the great events and fundraisers put on by GLHF to support the bleeding disorder community.  I’m excited to hit the ground running and work on my first event at GLHF, the Unite Walk!”

Tomi will be reaching out to Team Captains – in a effort to join forces – for the Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk.
