Camp Klotty Pine – Where Confidence Grows and Friendships Take Root
This past August, children from across Wisconsin came together at Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation’s (GLHF) Camp Klotty Pine for a week of adventure, friendship, and unforgettable memories. Campers, Leaders-in-Training (LITs), counselors, and members of the bleeding disorders community made the most of summer with a week filled with fun, discovery, and of course a little camp magic.
Although Camp Klotty Pine is week packed with fun activities, it’s much more than that! It’s a place where children living with bleeding disorders can build confidence, develop independence, and discover what they’re capable of in a safe, supportive environment. With Hemophilia Treatment Center staff onsite throughout the week, campers explored new opportunities, challenged themselves, and grew alongside their peers who understand their unique experiences.
Campers participated in all kinds of activities including swimming, arts and crafts, science experiments and baking, theater, archery, canoeing and climbing! Every day offered something new! Evenings around the campfire brought everyone together to share stories, laugh, and build friendships that extend far beyond camp!
At Camp Klotty Pine, every new experience is an opportunity to grow. Whether a camper is trying an unfamiliar activity, gaining confidence in their abilities, or forming a friendship with someone who truly understands, each moment helps build skills and self-assurance that last long after the week is over.
Camp Klotty Pine shows the endless possibilities children have when given the opportunity to feel supported, embrace new challenges and simply be kids. Through meaningful connections and shared adventures, GLHF helps create life-changing camp experiences that empower children affected by bleeding disorders and allows them to thrive.
Here’s to another summer of growth, friendship and camp magic! We can’t wait to see our campers next summer.
