Consumer Empowerment Medical Symposium
Please join us on November 9th for our new Consumer Empowerment Medical Symposium. Attendees will spend the day at the Milwaukee Hilton City Center learning about new treatments and what’s ahead in the research pipeline. New and emerging therapies, as well as those quickly gaining momentum in clinical trials, make the timing of this symposium fortuitous in many ways.
The symposium will offer consumers sessions focused on current and potential treatments for bleeding disorders. Speakers will provide patient-centered information about how these products work, we will also explore current and future insurance barriers, and talk about how consumers can work with their healthcare providers to navigate the ever-changing treatment landscape. Information will be presented about Hemophilia, von Willebrand disease (vWD), and other rare bleeding disorders in order to empower the consumers.
The symposium will begin at 8:30 AM with registration, exhibits, a light breakfast and childcare check in. The first Keynote will begin promptly at 9:30AM, with the last breakout session ending at 3:00 PM. Lunch will be served from 11:45 AM – 1:00PM.
Children’s programming will be available for those ages 1-12 during the symposium. In order to ensure the correct supervision, and plan for our offsite adventure, please register your child no later than October 28. GLHF will do our best to accommodate each child’s needs when possible.
The hotel parking structure is located next to the hotel on Michigan and 5th streets. Please keep your parking receipt. GLHF will validate and cover parking costs.
Register for this Symposium HERE before Monday, November 4 to secure your spot at this program. There is no fee to register. Lunch is included with registration.
